Alzheimer’s Linked to Gum Disease

Gum disease may actually increase the risk of Alzheimer’s disease according to several recent studies.  Researchers have found that one of the key bacterial that causes gum disease, Porphyromonas gingivalis, may also be the root cause of Alzheimer’s disease. Dr. Johnson explains the correlation between the two, and the importance of good oral health to help avoid gum disease.
