You’re wearing them in your mouth for 20 to 22 hours a day after all. Lots of things are going to stick to those trays and you want to keep them as clean as possible not only for their appearance but to prevent bad breath and the development of cavities.
- Eating: If you eat with Invisalign trays in your mouth, you risk breaking or cracking the trays, but you also risk staining them. And, let’s face it, you must wear the trays for about two weeks at a time, so if you stain any of your aligners, you’ll have to live with them as they are until you switch out the next trays. They’ll be noticeable and unsightly, ruining the subtlety of this treatment.
