Dr. Johnson has practiced dentistry for sixteen years. After growing up in South Africa, she graduated at the top of her class – at the University of the Witwatersrand with honors in 1995. Relocating to the United States, she completed a general practice residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she was the chief resident during 2000 and 2001. She earned her MBA from DePaul University in Chicago in 2001. Following that, she started her private dental practice in Chicago and recently moved it to South Florida.
In addition, Dr. Johnson has enjoyed teaching dentistry. She was the Assistant Director of the University of Illinois at Chicago’s General Residency program, where she taught all aspects of dentistry to residents in the hospital. A later teaching position she held was in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She and her husband have two boys.
Dr. Johnson is the author of several published research articles involving advanced dental treatment. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and the Broward County Dental Association.
As a child, she wore braces and became interested in creating beautiful smiles. She always enjoyed the sciences and working with her hands in arts such as pottery. These interests and talents have carried over into her profession.
Dr. Johnson is dedicated to listening to her patients and providing the highest quality of professional dentistry in a caring and secure environment. She says,
