Meet Dr Charmaine Johnson
A Career of Excellence Dr. Charmaine Johnson, a general and cosmetic dentist with 30+ years’ experience, is known for creating healthy, beautiful smiles. Inspired by her own orthodontic care, she built a career dedicated to transforming lives. Patients value her warm, non-judgmental approach and her focus on education, ensuring they understand and care for their dental health.
Education & Training Dr. Johnson began in South Africa, earning her DDS with honors from the University of the Witwatersrand in 1995. She later moved to the U.S., completing a General Practice Residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago, serving as chief resident (2000–2001).
She has taught as Assistant Director at UIC’s residency program and adjunct faculty at Nova Southeastern University. Since 2003, she has served with the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
