Dr. Charmaine Johnson, DDS, PA
Dr. Johnson has practiced dentistry for sixteen years. After growing up in South Africa, she graduated with honors in 1995, from the University of Witwatersrand’s Dental School in Johannesburg, South Africa. Relocating to the United States, she completed a general practice residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she was the chief resident during 2000 and 2001. She earned her MBA from DePaul University in Chicago in 2001. Following that, she started her private dental practice in Chicago and recently moved it to South Florida.
In addition, Dr. Johnson has enjoyed teaching dentistry. She was the Assistant Director of the University of Illinois at Chicago’s General Residency program, where she taught all aspects of dentistry to residents in the hospital. A later teaching position she held was in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She and her husband have two boys.
Dr. Johnson is the author of several published research articles involving advanced dental treatment. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and the Broward County Dental Association.
As a child, she wore braces and became interested in creating beautiful smiles. She always enjoyed the sciences and working with her hands in arts such as pottery. These interests and talents have carried over into her profession.
Dr. Johnson is dedicated to listening to her patients and providing the highest quality of professional dentistry in a caring and secure environment. She says,
Advancements in OSHA guidelines and scientific research regarding new methods of treatment have always been top priority. My education, hospital training, and faculty positions have kept me current with the changes in dental care.

Dr. Bui, DDS
Dr. Bui graduated at the top of his class from the School of Pharmacy at the Buffalo campus of the State University of New York (SUNY). He practiced as a pharmacist in New York before returning to SUNY at Buffalo for Dental School, where he again graduated at the top of his class. He received highest honors and graduated Summa Cum Laude while earning his degrees both in pharmacy (R. Ph.) and dentistry (DDS).
The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine is an Ivy League school regarded as the birth place of endodontics and especially renowned for microsurgical endodontics. After receiving his degrees from SUNY, Dr. Bui earned a Certificate of Endodontics at the University of Pennsylvania, mastering skills in microscopic surgical and nonsurgical endodontics.
Dr. Bui lives with his family in Fort Lauderdale.
Dr. Charles Adelson, DMD
Raised in the sunshine state, Dr. Adelson graduated from J.P. Taravella High School in Coral Springs and continued his education at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, where he received a B.S. in Micro and Molecular Biology. He was a member of a variety of honor societies there, including Phi Eta Sigma, Golden Key International Honour Society, the Dean’s List, and the President’s Honor Roll.
Dr. Charles Adelson went on to receive his Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) at Nova Southeastern University’s School of Dental Medicine. He continued his studies there after completing a three-year post-doctoral surgical residency with extensive training in implant placement, periodontal surgery, and regenerative bone therapy. He wrote his research thesis on the role of plasminogen activators in periodontal disease and diabetes.
